Rice Harvesting

Rice, the staple food of any Japanese home. Seedlings planted in Spring give rise to radiant, golden-colored ears in Autumn, and such beauty is even recorded within Japanese poetry. Although most commercially produced rice is harvested by machine, but Fukushima City Minka-en offers the opportunity to try traditional rice harvesting with scythe in hand.
