黒岩虚空蔵尊①

Overview

Kuroiwa Kokuzoson at Manganji Temple dates back over 1,200 years. When you enter the temple gate you can see the ‘Ibo-nashi Bell’ (rivetless bell) which is a nationally designated work of art. There are also a pair of bull statues called ‘Nade-ushi’ which are said to grant you wisdom if you pat their heads. In the rear of the temple grounds are 16 ‘arakan’ (or arhat) statues.
