Nakano Fudōson

Overview

Opened more than eight centuries ago (circa 1180), this Zen temple is decorated with intricate yet bold-looking sculptures, and features a bright red color that contrasts gracefully with the waterfall that flows at the temple’s rear. Beyond the temple’s main structure lies a cavern cleft into the side of the mountain that is a sight to be seen.
