Overview

Fukushima City will host 6 softball games (July 22-23) and 1 baseball game (July 29) at Fukushima Azuma Baseball Stadium during the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
J-Village in Naraha, Fukushima will be the start of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay (March 26~).
Softball at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics
Qualified Teams: Japan, United States of America, Italy, Mexico, Canada, Australia
Six teams will qualify for the tournament. Japan automatically qualify as the host nation. The United States of America has also qualified after winning the 2018 Women’s Softball World Championship. The remaining 4 qualifiers (Italy, Mexico, Canada, Australia) were decided at various events between July and September, 2019.
Baseball at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics
Qualified Teams: Japan, Israel, +4 Teams TBD
Six teams will qualify for the tournament. Japan automatically qualifies as the host nation. The remaining 5 qualifying teams will be decided at various events between November 2019 and April 2020.

Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay

Before the relay starts, the Olympic torch will visit Fukushima Station on Tuesday March 24, and Aquamarine Fukushima on Wednesday March 25. The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay will then start at J-Village in Naraha on Thursday March 26, and continue around Fukushima prefecture over 3 days. Celebration events will be at the end of each day at the venues listed below.

Fukushima Azuma Baseball Stadium

Fukushima Azuma Baseball Stadium will be the venue for 6 softball games and 1 baseball game during the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The stadium is located within Azuma Sports Park which is a 20-minute drive (10km) west of Fukushima Station. Access information to/from the venue will be updated as soon as possible.
